Occupational First Aid (HLTSS00068)
When Standard First Aid Isn't Enough
Every workplace should have trained first aiders, but some environments require a higher level of preparedness.
Whether you're working with heavy machinery, in manufacturing, on construction sites, in agriculture, or anywhere a serious injury could occur, Occupational First Aid provides the advanced skills needed to respond confidently until emergency services arrive.
Designed for higher-risk workplaces, this nationally recognised course equips designated first aiders with practical knowledge and skills to manage more complex emergencies and support injured or unwell people during those critical first minutes.
Is This Course Right for Your Workplace?
Occupational First Aid is ideal for organisations that require a higher level of emergency response capability than standard first aid.
It is particularly suited to:
Manufacturing and industrial workplaces
Construction and civil contractors
Agriculture and primary industries
Warehousing and logistics
Mining and resource operations
Utilities and infrastructure providers
Sporting venues and event organisers
Businesses that carry emergency oxygen or are considering introducing oxygen into their emergency response procedures
Workplaces with designated Occupational First Aiders
If you're unsure whether this course is right for your organisation, we'd be happy to discuss your workplace and recommend the most suitable training solution.

One-Day Practical with Online Learning

Why Choose Northern Response Training?
At Northern Response Training, we believe first aid training should prepare people for real emergencies—not simply help them pass an assessment.
Our training is practical, engaging and built around developing confident first aiders who can think clearly under pressure. We encourage discussion, problem solving and realistic hands-on activities that reflect the situations people may encounter in their own workplaces.
As a locally owned South Australian business, we're proud to support organisations across metropolitan and regional communities with high-quality training that is relevant, professional and delivered with genuine care.
Whether your team is based in the city, on a rural property or at an industrial worksite, our goal remains the same—to help people feel prepared to step forward when someone needs their help.
