Mental health emergencies don't just affect emergency services—they can happen anywhere, at any time, and often the first person to offer support is an ordinary member of the community.

The nationally recognised 11244NAT – Course in Mental Health Support for First Responders has been designed to give participants the confidence to recognise when someone may be experiencing a mental health concern or crisis, provide appropriate initial support, and assist them until professional help is available.

While this course has a strong first responder focus, it's suitable for anyone who wants to better understand mental health and learn practical strategies for supporting others.

At Northern Response Training, we believe that being a first responder isn't defined by your uniform—it's defined by your willingness to step forward when someone needs help. Whether you're a police officer, firefighter, volunteer, teacher, workplace leader, sports coach, parent, or simply a bystander, you may be the first person someone turns to during a mental health crisis.

We travel within 60km with no travel fee, with further travel available by arrangement when booking.
