Meet Jenna and Ryan
Northern Response Training, we believe first aid is more than a certificate. It is the power to protect the people you care about. Whether you're a parent, teacher, student, tradie, corporate, professional, rider, or carer, we tailor every session to your world so you leave ready to act with confidence.
Our roots run deep in family values and community service. We've been there when seconds count - on the roadside, in the workplace, and in the heart of rural emergencies and we bring that real-world experience into every course.
Our Teams background
Meet Ryan
G'day, I'm Ryan.
I've spent the last several years responding to real world emergencies, working in workplace safety and delivering training to people from all walks of life. Whether I'm teaching someone their very first aid course or training emergency responders, my goal is always the same—to keep it practical, relatable and easy to remember.
I believe first aid shouldn't be about memorising a textbook. It should be hands-on, realistic and give you the confidence to step in when someone needs help.
This is my passion.
Emergency Responder (6+ Years) – I've attended more than 100 emergency incidents across regional South Australia, including campaign fire deployments.
Emergency Response Trainer – I deliver emergency response and first aid training to workplaces, community organisations and emergency service personnel.
Former National WHS Advisor – I've worked across the manufacturing and education sectors, helping organisations improve workplace safety and manage risk.
Practical Instructor – My focus is on making every course engaging, hands-on and relevant, so you leave with skills you'll actually remember when it counts.
Meet Jenna
Hi, I'm Jenna.
Behind every course is a lot of planning, resources and organisation—and that's where you'll usually find me. I enjoy creating realistic training resources, supporting our students and helping make first aid training practical, engaging and a little less intimidating.
Outside of Northern Response Training, I'm passionate about supporting veterans, advocating for autistic individuals and giving back to our local community. Whether it's through the Freeling RSL or helping develop new training ideas, I believe even small things can make a big difference.
Ex-Army – My time in the Army taught me resilience, adaptability and the importance of staying calm when things don't go to plan.
Motorcycle Rider (32+ Years) – I've been riding motorcycles for over 32 years and have a real passion for rider safety and helping riders be better prepared for the unexpected.
Course Developer – I create training resources, realistic scenarios and learning materials that make first aid practical, relevant and memorable.
Business Support – I help with bookings, customer enquiries and course administration to make the training experience as smooth as possible.
Training Support – You'll often see me around our courses, helping create a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
Veteran Advocate – As Secretary of the Freeling RSL Sub-Branch, I'm passionate about supporting veterans and giving back to the veteran community.
Autism Advocate – I'm passionate about improving understanding, inclusion and opportunities for autistic individuals and their families.
Community Focused – I believe first aid is a life skill everyone should have, and I love helping make it more accessible across our local communities.
🐾 Meet Casper – The Fluffy Work-in-Progress
Casper is a 2-year-old German Shepherd with big dreams and even bigger paws. Currently in training to become an assistance dog, Casper is showing promising potential—if you overlook his habit of opening doors like a pro... and forgetting to close them like a toddler on a juice mission.
By day, he’s a fur-shedding machine (seriously, we could knit a rug), and by night, he’s a gentle guardian who helps our daughter sleep soundly with his calming presence and occasional snoring soundtrack.
Casper’s resume includes:
Door-opening technician (closing pending certification)
Emotional support specialist (especially during snack time)
Shed distribution expert (he’s generous)
Future assistance dog (we still believe!)
He may not be perfect yet, but he’s loyal, loving, and determined—and that’s more than enough for us.
